Preemption and Collision Avoidance in One Unit
The ELiMiNATOR GPS Traffic Signal Preemption and Collision Avoidance System enables authorized vehicles to preempt equipped intersections, providing temporary right-of-way via common traffic controller functions. It simultaneously provides collision avoidance warnings when other similarly-equipped authorized vehicles approach the same intersection.
Authorized vehicles are equipped with onboard units that continuously calculate location, speed, and heading using GPS with inertial measurement backup. Vehicle data is securely transmitted using long-range, encrypted 900 MHz FHSS radio communications with mesh networking capability — up to approximately 3 miles unobstructed.
