GPS + 900 MHz Radio — Not Infrared or Cellular
The ELiMiNATOR® Emergency Vehicle Preemption system uses GPS positioning and 900 MHz FHSS encrypted radio — not infrared or cellular — to communicate between vehicles and intersections.
The system operates:
- Without line-of-sight — through buildings, around curves, in heavy rain, snow, and fog
- Optional cellular — unaffected by network congestion or outages
- At ranges up to 3 miles unobstructed — providing warning and preparation time
- In all environments — urban grid, suburban corridors, rural highways
- Immediately upon installation — zero learning period or zone pre-configuration
Collision Avoidance — Built In, Not Bolted On
The ELiMiNATOR® system does not only preempt traffic signals — it provides simultaneous collision avoidance alerts when two or more equipped authorized vehicles approach the same intersection from different directions.
Alerts are configurable with audible warnings and work even in rural areas with no traffic signals present. Departments define when alerts trigger based on distance and estimated time of arrival, allowing crews to adjust approach speed and coordinate with dispatch.
